About the role#
This internship supports the Medicare team by initiating outbound calls to prospective members. You will focus on setting qualified appointments for licensed Medicare agents while gaining hands-on experience in lead generation, client engagement, and the Medicare sales process. This is a paid, remote position with flexible hours ranging from 5 to 25 per week.
What you'll do#
- Call Medicare-eligible individuals to prequalify them and schedule appointments for licensed agents.
- Manage incoming leads from marketing campaigns, referrals, and outreach efforts.
- Assist agents with maintaining lead databases and appointment calendars.
- Work alongside a licensed Medicare agent to learn about client interaction and compliance.
- Help with administrative and outreach projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, specifically over the phone.
- Experience using CRM systems and lead tracking tools.
- A professional demeanor and the ability to maintain client confidentiality.
- A willingness to learn about Medicare products, ethical sales practices, and compliance standards.
- Eligibility for membership at ICCU.
- Note that a background check and fingerprinting may be required based on your system access.

- We provide a laptop, soft phone, and headset.
- Compensation is performance-based, meaning earnings depend on your outreach activity and successful engagement outcomes.
- The internship lasts for one semester.
