About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in lead generation, client engagement, and the Medicare sales process. You will support the Medicare team by initiating calls to prospective members to set appointments for licensed agents. This role is remote and offers a flexible schedule of 5 to 25 hours per week. Equipment including a laptop, soft phone, and headset is provided.
What you'll do#
- Call Medicare-eligible individuals to prequalify them and schedule appointments for licensed agents.
- Manage and organize incoming leads from marketing campaigns, referrals, and outreach.
- Help licensed agents maintain their lead databases and appointment calendars.
- Participate in mentorship with a licensed Medicare agent to learn about client interaction and compliance.
- Assist with administrative and outreach projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, specifically over the phone.
- Comfort using CRM systems and lead tracking software.
- A professional demeanor and the ability to maintain client confidentiality.
- A willingness to learn about Medicare products, ethical sales practices, and compliance standards.
- Note that a background check and fingerprinting may be required for this role.

- This position is fully remote.
- The internship is part-time and follows a rolling, semester-long term.
- Compensation is performance-based, with earnings influenced by outreach activity and successful engagement outcomes.
- You must be eligible for membership at ICCU to obtain employment.
