About the role#
This internship with the Chief Sustainability Office at IBM focuses on the intersection of sustainability, data, AI, and business operations. You will support projects that quantify the business value of sustainability initiatives and explore how technology can drive enterprise transformation. You will work with teams across finance, operations, supply chain, and strategy to help integrate environmental objectives into business processes.
What you'll do#
- Analyze operational and sustainability data to identify trends and insights.
- Research emerging sustainability regulations, technologies, and market developments.
- Explore how AI, automation, and analytics can improve sustainability outcomes and business performance.
- Assist in creating presentations, dashboards, reports, and recommendations for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to find ways to reduce environmental impacts and improve efficiency.
- Support projects that embed sustainability considerations into decision-making and enterprise strategy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's program in Business, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Economics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to synthesize information and communicate findings clearly.
- Interest in the intersection of technology, business strategy, and innovation.
- Curiosity regarding AI and data analytics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn.
- Experience with data analysis, visualization, or AI tools is a plus.
