About the role#
As a Quantum Infrastructure Intern, you will join the Quantum Operations team. Our mission is to build and maintain the environment that supports the development and delivery of quantum solutions. You will focus on creating software and pipelines that allow other teams to deploy infrastructure reliably. This role involves moving away from manual management toward automated, deterministic processes.
What you'll do#
- Design and build automation frameworks to make infrastructure operations repeatable.
- Codify provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes using infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
- Create software and pipelines to streamline how code and infrastructure changes move through environments.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent infrastructure deployment.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or Go.
- Foundational knowledge of cloud computing on platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, or IBM Cloud.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Understanding of version control practices using Git.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
