About the role#
This internship focuses on the technical deployment and adoption of IBM AI and Hybrid Cloud software. You will work with partners, product managers, and development teams to implement solutions that address business challenges, with a primary focus on watsonx offerings. You will act as a technical advisor, designing architectures and building minimal viable products to showcase the value of IBM solutions.
What you'll do#
- Understand partner technical needs and establish yourself as a trusted expert for migration and deployment.
- Use engineering skills to code and build MVPs using Python, open source frameworks, RedHat, and the IBM product portfolio.
- Lead technical discussions to help partners align their requirements with IBM solutions.
- Perform hands-on engineering tasks to install, develop, train, configure, and run IBM AI technologies in partner environments.
- Contribute to use case exploration, business framing workshops, and the development of client value realization models.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. or M.S. degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on development skills using Python, LLMs, and GenAI programming frameworks.
- Experience with RedHat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Unix software installations.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Large Language Models, and Generative AI applications including Text2SQL and RAG.
- Experience with AI Operations and data engineering techniques such as Spark, Presto, and Hive.
- Familiarity with user experience design.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- A client-focused mindset with the ability to ask open-ended questions to identify business needs.
- Self-motivation, problem-solving aptitude, and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
