    About the role#

    As an intern in the Research department, you will contribute to the development of microarchitectures and the related back-end compiler software for advanced versions of AI accelerators. You will work in a multi-disciplinary environment where hardware-software co-optimization is the primary focus. Your work will target complete AI solutions for both established and next-generation applications.

    What you'll do#

    • Explore compute-in-memory extensions to dataflow microarchitecture accelerators.
    • Investigate microarchitecture extensions to improve on-chip memory expansion and efficiency.
    • Develop software kernels to demonstrate and utilize microarchitecture innovations.
    • Prototype designs on FPGA emulation platforms.
    • Contribute to the development of demonstrations using emerging AI accelerators.

    What you'll need#

    • A background in AI accelerators or associated software.
    • A track record of research in hardware-software co-design.
    • Strong programming skills.
    • Research experience regarding compilers for AI accelerators.
    • Experience with hardware-software co-optimization for AI applications.
    • Familiarity with tools and languages for microarchitecture studies.
    • Hands-on experience prototyping AI-based solutions.
    • Familiarity with a diverse set of AI applications.
    • Ability to communicate technical ideas effectively.
    • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
