About the role#
This is a 16-week Software Developer Co-op position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work alongside experienced developers to design, build, and test software that powers cloud, AI, and hybrid-platform solutions. This role requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week. You must be able to pause your coursework for the duration of the program.
What you'll do#
- Support the design, development, testing, and debugging of software.
- Work with a variety of programming languages, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, Go, Rust, Swift, or Kotlin.
- Help build user interfaces and contribute to back-end services and APIs.
- Use Git and other version-control and collaboration tools.
- Work with cloud and container technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and REST APIs.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and technical discussions.
- Explore emerging technologies like AI/ML, automation, and cloud-native development.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program, with plans to return to your studies after the co-op.
- Ability to start full-time employment between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Coursework or project experience in software development.
- Familiarity with data structures, basic algorithms, and debugging.
- Exposure to front-end or back-end technologies, REST APIs, and databases.
- Experience with Git, cloud services, and CI/CD pipelines or automation tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- An interest in cloud computing, containers, and modern deployment practices.
- Understanding of Agile development methods.
- Experience with personal or open-source projects.
