About the role#
As an Intern Data Engineer, you will join the AI, Analytics, Automation, and Data Services practice. You will work alongside experienced professionals to solve business and technology challenges for clients. This role focuses on modernizing data platforms, building scalable data pipelines, and developing AI-driven solutions. You will gain hands-on experience with cloud platforms, enterprise data architectures, and analytics tools while preparing for a potential full-time career in consulting.
What you'll do#
- Support data engineering services and AI initiatives that improve business performance and operational efficiency.
- Assist team members with designing, building, testing, and maintaining data pipelines and integration processes.
- Contribute to data preparation, transformation, validation, and quality activities for analytics and AI solutions.
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends and generate insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain exposure to cloud platforms and enterprise data architectures.
- Participate in project meetings, workshops, and professional development sessions to build consulting and teamwork skills.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Analytics.
- Interest in data engineering, Artificial Intelligence, automation, and cloud technologies.
- Basic understanding of programming concepts with exposure to Python, SQL, or Java.
- Foundational knowledge of databases, data structures, and how data supports decision-making.
- Exposure to data preparation, visualization, or business problem-solving through coursework, projects, research, or previous internships.
- Awareness of Machine Learning, Generative AI, and their impact on digital transformation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
