About the role#
This Co-Op Data Engineer position offers the chance to build technical and consulting skills through real client projects. You will work within the Data & Analytics department to support strategic initiatives focused on Enterprise Application Integration (EAI). You will contribute to analytical and AI solution components while learning from experienced team members. This role is a year-long program based in University Park.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research on integration trends, APIs, middleware, cloud platforms, and emerging technologies.
- Support assessments of business processes and application landscapes.
- Assist in developing strategy recommendations, presentations, and client deliverables.
- Analyze data to identify integration opportunities across enterprise systems.
- Participate in workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirements gathering sessions.
- Contribute to business cases, roadmaps, and transformation strategies.
- Support project planning and change management activities.
- Assist in analyzing business processes and technology strategies to improve outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with foundational quantitative analysis abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- An interest in digital transformation, enterprise architecture, and integration technologies.
- Exposure to programming (reading, debugging, and explaining code) and technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, XML, or SQL.
- Familiarity with cloud native projects, Agile workflows, and microservices architecture.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure or AWS and AI tools such as Copilot or ChatGPT.
- Ability to understand client needs and challenges.
Location & details#
- Location: University Park, Pennsylvania.
- Term: Year-long co-op starting May 2027.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week during academic sessions and up to 40 hours per week during academic breaks.
- Employment type: Paid internship, full-time status.
