About the role#
As a Business Transformation Consultant Co-Op, you will work with IBM consultants to support finance transformation projects. You will gain hands-on experience in how organizations redesign financial processes, adopt new technologies, and drive strategic outcomes. This position offers exposure to transformation teams and enterprise-wide initiatives. You will also have the opportunity to learn through mentorship and potentially transition into the full-time Associates program after graduation based on performance.
What you'll do#
- Support the analysis and redesign of core finance processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Participate in workshops and client meetings to gather requirements and document findings.
- Synthesize information into actionable insights.
- Contribute to process improvement models and support the development of business cases.
- Translate financial requirements into client-relevant terms.
- Support KPI tracking and drive adoption of KPI impact with key client stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university degree program with a record of academic success.
- Preferred majors include Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
- Strong interpersonal skills to support collaboration and relationship building.
- Demonstrated initiative and a growth mindset.
- Interest in finance transformation, ERP systems, or business process consulting.
- Foundational understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, or finance operations.
- Exposure to ERP concepts or financial systems through coursework, projects, or student organizations.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools for financial reporting or business storytelling.
Location & details#
- This role is located in University Park, Pennsylvania.
- The position starts in May 2027 for a year-long co-op.
- You will work up to 20 hours per week during the school semester.
- You will work up to 40 hours per week during academic breaks.
- This is a paid internship.
