About the role#
The GMC Finance & Operations Intern supports the GMC COO organization with financial planning, budget analysis, program reporting, and operational analytics. This is a finance-oriented role that involves research, project coordination, and cross-functional collaboration. You will contribute to strategy and operations initiatives while gaining exposure to financial reporting and business data analysis.
What you'll do#
- Support budget planning, administration, forecasting, and variance analysis for GMC priorities.
- Assist with financial and operational reporting, including recurring dashboards and executive summaries.
- Analyze business data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support program-management activities like milestone tracking and status reporting.
- Provide analytical support for M&A integration or other transformation initiatives.
- Identify and suggest improvements to existing processes and tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in periodic project reviews.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with comfort using spreadsheets and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in standard office software, such as the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to translate complex data into concise management insights.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational discipline.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative, solution-focused mindset and time management skills.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn and apply emerging technologies and AI-enabled tools.
- No prior experience is required.

- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is based in San Jose, California, or Houston, Texas.
- This position operates under a hybrid work model, requiring an average of 2 days per week in the office.
