About the role#
Huntington’s internship programs provide students with hands-on experience in the banking industry. You will gain exposure to key business functions while focusing on professional growth and the practical application of your academic studies. Interns participate in a structured series of development opportunities, including interactions with leadership and team-based activities. This program helps build a foundation for future career success through meaningful business initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate directly with your manager and experienced professionals on meaningful projects.
- Support department initiatives, including financial analysis, market research, credit risk assessments, and lending operations.
- Provide recommendations to improve department processes and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
- Develop knowledge of consumer lending, customer insights, risk management, product development, and business operations.
- Work both independently and within a team to complete assigned tasks.
- Participate in all internship events and professional development sessions.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor and communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited university.
- At least one quarter or semester of school remaining after the summer program concludes.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through work experience or extracurricular activities.
- Ability to apply logical and critical thought processes to develop solutions.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in banking.
- Relevant coursework in fields such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Data Science, Statistics, or Mathematics.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is on-site.
- Available locations: Columbus, OH; Detroit, MI; Cleveland, OH; and Minnetonka, MN.
