About the role#
The Financial Analyst Intern program is a 10-week summer opportunity for students to contribute to complex projects. You will work alongside professionals to deliver solutions for clients and gain exposure to the financial operations of the business. This is a full-time, paid internship. You will participate in professional development, interact with company leaders, and join a mentoring circle led by an early career champion.
What you'll do#
- Support teams in the collection, validation, and analysis of financial data.
- Conduct research and analytical services for policy formulation.
- Use modeling and analytics to understand how financial decisions impact the bottom line.
- Assist in planning and designing financial processes.
- Formulate recommendations to improve financial activities.
- Explore and implement AI capabilities to streamline monthly analysis, including building and refining AI-based models and workflows.
- Collaborate with a team of peers to research and propose solutions to a current business challenge.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate, bachelor, or master degree program in economics, finance, statistics, accounting, or a related discipline at a United States-based university.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
- Experience with Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and charts.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products.
- Willingness to explore and use AI tools.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships in a remote environment.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and quantitative financial analysis.
- Proficiency in VBA and familiarity with project management and data analytics.
- Ability to synthesize big data into actionable insights.

- Location: Falls Church, Virginia.
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Duration: Summer 2027 (10 consecutive weeks).
- Employment: Full-time (40 hours per week).
