About the role#
We are looking for an analytical and detail-oriented student to join our Finance team at our head office in Markham. This position offers an opportunity to gain experience in a collaborative office environment while supporting core financial operations. You will work on a full-time basis.
What you'll do#
- Support the Finance team in preparing quarterly working documents and financial statements.
- Assist in documenting and maintaining Finance processes and procedures.
- Participate in activities related to the implementation of our accounting system.
- Manage multiple assignments and tasks concurrently within established timelines.
- Assist in nurturing established relationships with partners by supporting outreach and communication activities.
- Provide project support, including preparing meeting agendas, recording minutes, coordinating communications, and tracking follow-up items.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree or diploma program in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work.
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-motivated, results-oriented, and flexible approach to changing priorities.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Yardi, or Sage is an asset.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.

- Compensation: 21 to 23 CAD per hour.
