About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within our Research and Development division. You will support the commercialization of new and reformulated products while gaining insight into the full product lifecycle, from initial design to final launch.
What you'll do#
- Prepare bench top samples and assist with product formulation.
- Manage materials sourcing, product costing, and food safety planning.
- Support plant trials and conduct acceptance testing.
- Operate food processing equipment in the pilot plant.
- Perform product and process troubleshooting.
- Prepare and present food prototypes to sales, marketing, and operations teams.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following established safety and quality guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Junior status or higher with a graduation date of May 2027, December 2027, or August 2028.
- Major in Food Science, Animal Science, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA is preferred.
- Strong work ethic and demonstrated leadership skills.
- Ability to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Access to a personal vehicle for transportation to the workplace.

- Location: Austin, Minnesota.
- Term: Summer 2027 (late May to mid-August).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
