About the role#
This internship offers real world experience in food manufacturing. You will work alongside full-time Quality and Process Control supervisors to support food safety and quality processes. This is a paid, full-time position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Consult with management regarding food safety or quality issues.
- Implement our HACCP program and oversee sanitation procedures.
- Collect and analyze data for new or modified product lines.
- Design and evaluate quality specifications and auditing programs.
- Conduct quality system testing and evaluations using statistical analysis.
- Assist with computer inventory, lab management, and data collection.
- Evaluate processes using food safety and sanitation principles.
What you'll need#
- Graduation date in August 2025, December 2025, or May 2026.
- A major in Food Science, Animal Science, Agricultural Business, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
- Access to a personal motor vehicle to travel to and from the workplace.
- Comfort with the preparation and consumption of various food products, including pork, beef, chicken, and nuts.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Austin, Minnesota.
- The position is on-site and requires approximately 40 hours per week.
