About the role#
As a Field Operations and Grower Representative Intern, you will work with the processing manager to coordinate field fruit deliveries. You will serve as a primary contact for growers to ensure harvested fruit reaches the processing plant or receiving station efficiently.
What you'll do#
- Determine daily crate volumes by obtaining early morning on-site ranch estimates and update these figures throughout the day.
- Schedule trucking to pick up fruit from receiving stations for delivery to the plant.
- Establish the daily production schedule in collaboration with the processing manager.
- Inspect fields daily and conduct monthly audits of grower Good Agricultural Practices using the Field Sanitation Checklist.
- Maintain proper inventories of crates and pallets at receiving stations and ensure they are cleaned before distribution.
- Record yield data from experimental varieties and research plots, take fruit samples for lab evaluation, and assist with quality control testing.
- Address grower concerns and resolve discrepancies regarding weight tags or grading sheets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program, preferably in Logistics, Business Administration, or Agriculture.
- Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish.
- Availability from late March through the end of August.
- Ability to work weekends, night shifts, and overtime as required.

- The internship covers the Winter and Summer 2027 terms.
