About the role#
The Global Supply Chain Materials Intern will gain hands-on experience in data analysis, strategic stocking, and inventory analytics. You will work within a global supply chain environment, focusing on optimizing cost, efficiency, and delivery. This role involves collaborating across business functions to support process improvement initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Support the analysis of inventory levels, material demand, shortages, and excess stock.
- Assist with materials planning and inventory optimization initiatives.
- Collect, validate, and organize data from ERP systems.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance indicators.
- Identify opportunities to improve material availability, inventory accuracy, and working capital.
- Support cross-functional projects involving procurement, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, and operations.
- Document processes and contribute to the standardization of global materials practices.
- Prepare and present data-driven findings and recommendations.
- Support the development and enhancement of operational analytics tools and processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Graduate degree program at an accredited university.
- Preferred majors include Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or within a team.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
