About the role#
This internship supports operational assurance and continuous improvement initiatives across our U.S. Gas footprint. You will gain hands-on experience in data analytics, risk management, quality assurance, and change management. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will assess processes and analyze performance trends to identify opportunities for improvement. The goal is to support the implementation of solutions that enhance safety and operational efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Identify and assess safety and operational risks through data collection and analysis.
- Analyze data trends to develop insights for risk reduction.
- Prepare business cases, reports, and presentations to communicate findings.
- Support the development and implementation of change management plans.
- Engage and collaborate with stakeholders throughout improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate post-implementation effectiveness and value achievement.
- Provide assurance on data quality and report key operational metrics using Power BI.
- Maintain ethical, equitable, and quality standards.
- Support ad hoc projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate degree program in Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial), Data Science, or Business Administration.
- Completion of at least one academic term prior to May 2027.
- Commitment to return to full-time studies immediately following the work term.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) from May 2027 to August 2027.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualization techniques.
- Knowledge of operational performance measurement, risk management, or continuous improvement.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to building professional relationships.
- Ability to analyze information and manage ambiguity.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A safety mindset and alignment with TC Energy corporate values.
