About the role#
The Digital Services Engineering Intern will support HMH Services with AI development, engineering analysis, tool development, data analytics, and process improvement. You will work across various teams to help deliver service tools and automation while gaining experience in engineering workflows.
What you'll do#
- Support AI-enabled initiatives through data preparation, output review, and feedback tracking.
- Perform engineering analysis on service performance, equipment issues, and lifecycle opportunities.
- Develop and test digital tools, dashboards, analytics, and automated workflows.
- Conduct structured problem solving and analyze recurring issues to improve service processes.
- Collaborate with Product and Technology, engineering, operations, Service Centers, and field teams.
- Create technical documentation and capture knowledge to support standards and feedback loops.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Graduate degree program, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, Computational Engineering, or Data Science.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Interest in engineering analysis, industrial services, digital tools, automation, or AI.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products like Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work both independently and within a larger team.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
