About the role#
This internship position reports to the Global Logistics department. You will support transportation data analysis across parcel, less-than-truckload, truckload, air, ocean, and intermodal modes. You will help collect, validate, and analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for cost, service, and process improvements. You will also complete an individual project relevant to business needs and present your findings to senior leaders.
What you'll do#
- Collect, organize, and validate transportation data from internal systems and carrier reports.
- Analyze freight costs, shipment activity, carrier performance, and service trends.
- Assist with dashboards, recurring reports, rate comparisons, and freight audit activities.
- Work with logistics and cross-functional teams to gather information and resolve issues.
- Support process improvement projects and present recommendations to stakeholders.
- Develop reporting tools and prepare datasets to improve transportation execution.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year accredited university or graduate program.
- Preferred majors include Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 2.8/4.0 GPA.
- Previous supply chain internship or work experience.
- Competence in data analytics.
- Strong scheduling, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Basic knowledge of inventory, planning, and manufacturing operations.
- Leadership involvement in student associations.
