About the role#
HII is seeking a Corporate Strategy and Development Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position is based in Arlington, Virginia, and supports the team responsible for driving enterprise strategy, including mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and annual strategic planning. You will work on both organic and inorganic strategy projects to support the company's long-term objectives.
What you'll do#
- Participate in strategy projects such as M&A transaction support, defense budget analysis, go-to-market strategy, and acquisition integration.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, including financial modeling, valuation, and business case development.
- Perform market research to inform strategic decision-making.
- Develop briefing and review materials for leadership.
- Assist with project management and due diligence tasks.
- Cultivate professional relationships across all levels of the organization.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year college or university (or 2+2 program) as a rising junior or above, or current enrollment in a relevant Master's program.
- Degree focus in Business, Management, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Computer Information Science, Information Technology, Communications, or Marketing.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to work a 40-hour work week for at least 10 weeks during the summer.
- US Citizenship.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is preferred.
