About the role#
This summer internship provides students the chance to gain practical experience in technical or administrative roles within Ingalls Shipbuilding. Participants engage in our summer program for at least 10 weeks, working a full-time 40-hour week. This position is based on-site in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to technical or administrative projects.
- Access various work sites to support infrastructure and sustainability efforts.
- Navigate shipboard environments, which may include climbing vertical or inclined ladders and working in areas under construction or overhaul.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program that supports our business requirements, such as Environmental, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, Criminal Justice, or other related fields.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- You must be at least 18 years old by mid-May.
- You must attend an undergraduate or graduate program in the fall following the internship.
- Ability to pass a criminal background investigation, a physical, and a hair follicle drug screen.
- You must upload your most recent college transcripts when you apply.
- Please provide your school name, degree program, major, anticipated graduation date, current academic level, and overall GPA in your application.
