About the role#
This internship program provides students with technical experience in the defense and space manufacturing industry. You will work on-site at our facility, gaining practical skills that may lead to future full-time employment opportunities with the company.
What you'll do#
- Participate in technical projects to build your engineering skills.
- Access various work sites, including areas aboard ships currently under construction or undergoing overhaul.
- Navigate different environments, which may involve using vertical or inclined ladders and periods of standing, stooping, or kneeling.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering degree program.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Please upload your most recent college transcripts with your application.
- You must be at least 18 years old by mid-May.
- You must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program for the fall semester following the internship.
- Ability to work a full-time 40-hour week for at least 10 weeks during the summer.
- Successful completion of a criminal background investigation, a physical, and a hair follicle drug screen.
- When applying, you must provide your school name, degree program and major, anticipated graduation date, current academic level, and overall GPA.
