About the role#
This internship provides students with the opportunity to gain professional experience in technical or administrative roles within Naval Architecture Engineering. You will work a 40-hour work week for at least 10 weeks during the summer. This position is on-site in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
What you'll do#
- Gain practical experience in your field of study.
- Access various work sites, including ships in different stages of construction or overhaul.
- Navigate work environments that may require climbing vertical or inclined ladders, as well as limited kneeling, stooping, and standing.
What you'll need#
- Be at least 18 years old by mid-May.
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Be enrolled in a degreed program that supports our business, such as Naval Architecture or Ocean Engineering.
- Plan to attend a college or university as an undergraduate or graduate student in the fall following the internship.
- Upload your most recent college transcripts when you apply.
- Provide your school name, degree program, major, anticipated graduation date, current academic level, and overall GPA.
- Successfully complete a criminal background investigation, a physical, and a hair follicle drug screen.
