PRODUCTION PLNG AND SCHEDULER SKILLBRIDGE INTERN

About the role#

This is an unpaid internship through the Hire Vets Now SkillBridge Program, designed for transitioning active-duty US military personnel. Interns work on meaningful projects while collaborating with mentors and senior leadership to gain experience in production planning and scheduling. This program aims to align military training and education with civilian roles to facilitate a transition into full-time employment.

What you'll do#

• Plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules to ensure a controlled flow of materials.
• Coordinate with material requirements to meet production deadlines.
• Advise management on work-in-progress status, material availability, and potential production issues.
• Schedule equipment and personnel, confirm supply and demand, and prepare work orders or purchase requests.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activities across quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and inventory control.
• Expedite the movement of parts through move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests.

What you'll need#

• Must be active-duty military within the final 180 days of service to participate in the internship.
• Transitioning military candidates may begin the application process within their final 12 months of service.
• Education and experience requirements are dependent on the specific Program of Instruction.
• Preferred academic backgrounds include Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
