About the role#
HII is offering a summer internship for Computer Engineering students at our Ingalls Shipbuilding division. This program provides you with hands-on experience in technical or administrative positions. You will work a 40-hour week for at least 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
You will work in a professional environment to gain practical skills. Some positions require you to access various work sites. This includes going aboard ships that are under construction or undergoing an overhaul. You may need to use vertical and inclined ladders and perform tasks that involve standing, stooping, or kneeling.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Computer Engineering degree program.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- You must be at least 18 years old by mid-May.
- You must attend an undergraduate or graduate program in the fall following the internship.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, a physical, and a hair follicle drug screen.
- You must upload your most recent college transcripts when you apply.
- Please provide your school name, degree program, anticipated graduation date, current academic level, and overall GPA in your application.
Location & details#
This internship is based in Pascagoula, Mississippi. It is an on-site position. The role is paid and full-time.
