STRUCTURAL/CIVIL ENGINEER SKILLBRIDGE INTERN(PLANT OPERATIONS

About the role#

This is an unpaid internship offered through the Hire Vets Now (HVN) SkillBridge Program, designed for transitioning active-duty U.S. military personnel. The program provides an opportunity to gain professional experience during the final 180 days of active-duty service. Interns work on meaningful projects alongside mentors and senior leadership, with a focus on transitioning military skills into permanent roles within the organization.

What you'll do#

• Research, analyze, and develop structural engineering specifications for product design, including work with metals, non-metallic materials, and composites.
• Perform structural modeling and analyze damage tolerance, durability, and design allowables.
• Support specific engineering specialties such as dynamics and loads, stability, stress fatigue, and thermal analysis.
• Utilize technical software tools including CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer, and other relevant applications.

What you'll need#

• A Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
• Must be active-duty military personnel within the final 180 days of service. Transitioning military candidates may begin the application process within their final 12 months of service.
• Education and experience requirements are dependent on the specific Program of Instruction.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
