About the role#
This is a full-time, paid software engineering internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work within our development team to build and test software applications. We provide regular guidance and support, but you will be expected to learn quickly and take on challenging tasks.
What you'll do#
- Write code for back-end services and front-end interfaces.
- Build and maintain modern, responsive web user interfaces.
- Integrate various technologies and applications.
- Perform system testing and application development.
- Iterate rapidly alongside our development team.
- Integrate advanced AI agents, such as Claude Code or Google Gemini agentic workflows, into your daily engineering routine.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science or a related field, with over 60% of required credits completed.
- Programming experience with Java, Kotlin, Python, JavaScript, Node, or CSS.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Knowledge of SQL, databases, and query processing.
- Strong working knowledge of RESTful web services.
- Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Git, Nexus, or Maven.
- Understanding of software design standards, best practices, and the agile lifecycle.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Preferred: Experience with Linux, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), or an existing security clearance.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Greenville, SC.
- This is a hybrid position requiring an average of 1-2 days per week in the office.
