About the role#
This is an unpaid internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program, designed for transitioning active-duty U.S. military personnel within their final 180 days of service. You will train as an Interior Communications Master Tradesperson, working closely with a mentor and senior company leadership on meaningful projects. The program aims to provide real-world experience that aligns with your military background and training.
What you'll do#
- Diagnose and correct malfunctions in 1MC, 3MC, and 5MC systems onboard Naval ships using test equipment and hand tools.
- Develop solutions to technical problems, including design, fabrication, testing, and modification based on feedback.
- Learn to read blueprints and research technical manuals.
- Schedule work, report progress, and brief customers and senior management.
- Complete assigned special projects as required.
What you'll need#
- Must be active-duty military personnel within the final 180 days of service.
- Must possess a Confidential or higher security clearance.
- Education and experience requirements are dependent on the specific Program of Instruction.
