Interior Communications - Master Tradesperson (SkillBridge Intern) - 18125

About the role#

This is an unpaid internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program, designed for transitioning active-duty U.S. military personnel within their final 180 days of service. You will train as an Interior Communications Master Tradesperson, working closely with a mentor and senior company leadership on meaningful projects. The program aims to provide real-world experience that aligns with your military background and training.

What you'll do#

• Diagnose and correct malfunctions in 1MC, 3MC, and 5MC systems onboard Naval ships using test equipment and hand tools.
• Develop solutions to technical problems, including design, fabrication, testing, and modification based on feedback.
• Learn to read blueprints and research technical manuals.
• Schedule work, report progress, and brief customers and senior management.
• Complete assigned special projects as required.

What you'll need#

• Must be active-duty military personnel within the final 180 days of service.
• Must possess a Confidential or higher security clearance.
• Education and experience requirements are dependent on the specific Program of Instruction.
