Systems Test Engineer (SkillBridge Intern) - 26005

About the role#

This is an unpaid internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program, designed for transitioning active-duty US military personnel within their final 180 days of service. You will train as a Systems Test Engineer, working closely with a mentor and senior leadership to apply your military experience in operations, intelligence, electronics, IT, and systems integration to real-world projects.

What you'll do#

• Plan, execute, and report on system assessments within an agile environment.
• Apply Department of Defense testing and evaluation methods to emerging technologies.
• Develop test plans to maximize data collection opportunities.
• Collect and analyze data using both manual and electronic methods.
• Provide recommendations to analysts regarding best practices for technology employment.
• Deliver objective, verifiable conclusions to inform operational decisions.

What you'll need#

• Must be active-duty military personnel within the final 180 days of service.
• Must hold an active Top-Secret SCI security clearance.
• 10 years of combined relevant experience in fields such as Cyber Support, Radio Frequency (RF) Operations, Emerging Technologies, CBRNE, UAS Operations, or support to autonomous systems.
• Education and experience requirements are dependent on the specific Program of Instruction.
