About the role#
This is an unpaid internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program, designed for transitioning active-duty US military personnel. The role provides an opportunity to gain experience in systems engineering by working closely with mentors and senior leadership. Interns will apply their military background in operations, intelligence, electronics, and systems integration to support the mission of HII Technical Solutions.
What you'll do#
- Plan, execute, and report on system assessments within a rapid, agile environment.
- Apply Department of Defense testing and evaluation methods to emerging technologies.
- Develop test plans designed to maximize data collection opportunities.
- Collect and analyze data using both manual and electronic methods.
- Provide recommendations to analysts regarding best practices for technology employment.
What you'll need#
- Must be active-duty military personnel within the final 180 days of service.
- Must hold an active Top-Secret SCI security clearance.
- A minimum of 10 years of combined relevant experience in fields such as cyber support, radio frequency operations, emerging technologies, CBRNE, UAS operations, or autonomous systems support.
- Education and experience requirements are dependent on the specific Program of Instruction.
- Academic background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Data Science is preferred.
