About the role#
This internship takes place during the Fall 2026 term. You will support the Principal AI/ML Engineer to advance space simulation and AI development for the USSF customer. You will work within a cross-functional team of engineers, product owners, and program managers to develop AI models for space superiority analytics and multi-domain operations.
What you'll do#
- Build software from source for different platforms using various compilers.
- Develop acceptance, integration, and unit tests.
- Participate in software design meetings and code reviews.
- Maintain issue backlogs and project boards.
- Provide execution plans and status report inputs.
- Write user and developer documentation.
- Develop new capabilities using existing libraries.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program with 20% to 40% of required credits completed.
- Majors in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or Data Science.
- Interest in Space Operations.
- Solid technical writing skills.
- Willingness to tackle difficult problems and learn new languages.
