About the role#
This is an unpaid internship through the DoD SkillBridge program, designed for transitioning active-duty U.S. military personnel within their final 180 days of service. Interns will train as a Radio Frequency (RF) and Data Link Engineer supporting the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) Technology Integration Support Cooperative (TISC). You will work directly with a mentor and senior company leadership to gain hands-on experience in RF and datalink system integration, testing, and support.
What you'll do#
- Participate in cross-functional coordination and software integration processes.
- Support field operations, including equipment surveys, setup, operation, and breakdown.
- Lead an integration project connecting multiple mission nodes.
- Produce actionable technical reports with system improvement recommendations.
- Train on tactical RF and datalink systems such as Link-16, SINCGARS, SATCOM, MUOS, and MANET.
- Develop technical documentation and briefings related to spectrum management.
What you'll need#
- Active-duty military status within the final 180 days of service.
- U.S. citizenship with a current DoD Secret security clearance and eligibility to be upgraded to TS/SCI.
- Prior military service in communications, electronic warfare, or signals intelligence, or experience in defense contracting with a focus on C4ISR systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated, with a drive to succeed with minimal direction.
- Education in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
