About the role#
This co-op opportunity is for students interested in commercial property maintenance. You will work with the Commercial Facilities Lead to handle service requests and keep building systems running for tenants and High Properties.
What you'll do#
- Respond to work orders for repairs and complete the necessary paperwork.
- Assist with the BEST lock system, including software use, creating cores, installing cylinders, and cutting keys.
- Maintain records on building items to track parts for future replacement.
- Help with electrical and plumbing additions or changes.
- Learn the operating basics of building elevators.
- Adjust doors and locks and install closers.
- Inspect and report on roof leaks.
- Replace damaged ceiling tiles.
- Install, service, and maintain concrete and pond fountains.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in electrical, general carpentry, plumbing, or general building maintenance courses through LCCTC.
- You must be at least 16 years old and a high school or college student.
- Ability to learn and use tools, prints, and measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and a team-player attitude.
