About the role#
Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is hiring a Software Test Engineering Intern to join our team in Calgary. This is a full-time, paid internship running from May 2027 to May 2028. You will work directly with our Software Test Designers to gain hands-on experience in software verification and validation while contributing to our product quality goals.
What you'll do#
- Design, execute, and maintain verification and validation scripts using Python.
- Deploy and monitor tests within our continuous integration system, Jenkins.
- Collect and analyze real-world GNSS/INS data.
- Document test designs, specifications, runs, results, and compliance to requirements.
- Troubleshoot test failures and investigate issues to perform root cause analysis.
- Refine functional and performance requirements for validation traceability and participate in process improvement activities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Computer Science or Engineering Internship/Co-op program.
- Completion of at least your 2nd or 3rd year of studies by the start date.
- Availability for a minimum 12-month work term.
- A valid class 5 driver license.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- An interest in software development verification, data analysis, or coding languages like Python and C++.
- Familiarity with tools such as Git, Jira, Jenkins, and test case management software is an asset.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Calgary, Alberta.
- The work term is 12 months in duration, requiring 37.5 hours per week.
