About the role#
Hexagon is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our Autonomous Solutions team in Calgary. You will work alongside our DevOps and Tools team to build and maintain infrastructure that supports our software developers. This is a full-time, paid internship running for 12 months, from May 2027 to May 2028.
What you'll do#
- Build tools and automation to help developers work more efficiently.
- Create and maintain automated system-level pipelines and tests using Python, Jenkins, and GitLab.
- Develop dashboards to visualize data using tools like Grafana and the Elastic stack.
- Track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Use GNSS simulation tools to create repeatable automated tests.
- Write technical documentation for new and existing infrastructure.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Computer Science, Geomatics, Computer, or Software Engineering program.
- Completion of at least your 2nd or 3rd year of studies by the start of the term.
- Availability for a full-time, 12-month work term.
- Strong academic performance and clear communication skills.
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

- This position is based on-site in Calgary, Alberta.
- The internship spans the Summer 2027, Fall 2027, and Winter 2028 terms.
