About the role#
Human Resources Interns provide customer service to employees and assist with the onboarding process. You will gain general knowledge of human resources operations within a large organization. This is a paid, full-time internship opportunity located in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and employees at the HR Support offices and direct them to the right resources.
- Assist with orientation, onboarding, and processing in HR and applicant tracking systems.
- Create and print ID cards for employees and vendors.
- Maintain electronic employee files and documentation.
- Record employee recognition program data and issue rewards.
- Answer incoming calls at the HR Support call center for current and prospective employees.
- Help applicants navigate the online job application process.
- Communicate with HR team members, operations teams, and business partners.
- Represent the company at recruitment events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate program as of the Spring 2027 semester.
- Major in Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Age 18 or older.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- A friendly, professional demeanor and a willingness to learn.
Location & details#
- Location: Hershey, PA. You will work at both the Human Resources Support Center and the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex Human Resources Office.
- Term: January through May 2027, with the possibility of extending through August 2027.
- Schedule: Minimum of 20 hours per week, up to a maximum of 40 hours. Availability for days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays is required.
- Work modality: On-site.
