About the role#
As a Human Resources Intern at Nemacolin, you will spend 12 weeks gaining hands-on experience in the people practices that shape a luxury hospitality environment. You will work with professionals across recruitment, communications, benefits, and learning and development. This role helps you turn classroom knowledge into practical skills while you explore career paths in human resources, hospitality leadership, or event management.
What you'll do#
- Support recruitment initiatives and screen candidates to help build hospitality teams.
- Help plan and execute associate appreciation celebrations, holiday events, team-building activities, and wellness initiatives.
- Gather associate feedback through surveys, conversations, and pre-shift meetings to identify ways to strengthen workplace culture.
- Develop engagement opportunities that reflect resort culture and service standards.
- Collaborate across departments to support learning and development initiatives.
- Maintain associate-facing channels, including event calendars, digital communications, and flyers.
- Create presentations, reports, and event materials to assist with HR operations.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma.
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in human resources, hospitality management, business administration, event management, or a related field.
- Continuous authorization to work in the U.S. for the duration of the internship.
- A strong interest in hospitality, associate experience, or workplace culture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once.
- A professional approach when engaging with diverse teams and individuals.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Farmington, Pennsylvania.
- The term for this position is Summer 2027.
- This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
