About the role#
As a Lodging Operations Intern, you will participate in a 12-week rotational program at Nemacolin. This full-time, on-site experience provides insight into the luxury guest journey. You will work across PBX, Front Desk, Doorman, and Butler Services departments to build a foundation in resort operations. You will also complete an internship-specific project to apply your learning.
What you'll do#
- Manage guest communication through PBX, ensuring accurate information and professional telephone service.
- Facilitate arrival and departure experiences for guests.
- Provide personalized service during your Butler Services rotation by coordinating special requests.
- Collaborate with the Front Desk, Doorman, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Operate lodging, reservation, and communication systems.
- Develop a deep understanding of resort amenities, dining, activities, and events to guide guests.
- Complete a project focused on an internship-specific learning objective.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma.
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a bachelor degree program in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Previous hospitality experience, ideally in a Forbes or AAA-rated environment.
- Fluency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with guests, members, and associates.
- Commitment to the full 12-week program and all assigned rotations.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Continuous authorization to work in the United States.
