About the role#
Big Night Entertainment Group is seeking a Human Resources Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is an on-site, unpaid internship based in our Boston office. You will gain hands-on experience in HR operations while supporting our team across various administrative and organizational tasks.
What you'll do#
- Manage incoming mail by sorting, distributing, scanning, and filing documents.
- Assist with the 2026 W2 distribution process and bi-weekly payroll tasks.
- Deliver paychecks and other items to our Boston-area venues.
- Scan and upload employee and applicant documents into the HCM system.
- Greet candidates and visitors, provide office tours, and maintain the employee bulletin board.
- Audit employee training records and update the HCM system for compliance.
- Follow up with managers to ensure timely completion of HR compliance items.
- Monitor the HR Intern email inbox and respond to inquiries.
- Represent the HR team at company charitable events and assist with various projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at a college or university with documentation confirming you will receive academic credit for this internship.
- Availability to work on weekdays.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Punctuality, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Initiative and strong problem-solving skills.
- An interest in the hospitality or entertainment industries and knowledge of the Big Night brand.
- Studies in Human Resources or Business Administration are preferred.
- Experience in hospitality, administration, or customer service is a plus.
- Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Office, Adobe, or similar systems is helpful.
