    About the role#

    Heidelberg Materials is hiring a Mining Engineer Intern for our Chico, Texas location. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role. You will work in a combination of office and field environments, which requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and walk for extended periods. You may be exposed to various weather conditions and must use personal protective equipment as required.

    What you'll do#

    • Support plant operations to help meet production goals.
    • Complete technical projects to learn how a quarry or aggregate site functions.
    • Partner with experienced engineers, managers, and production staff.
    • Learn the specific missions of the production, maintenance, and quality departments.
    • Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

    What you'll need#

    • Current junior or senior status in a Mining Engineering or Geology degree program. Students in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Business Administration are also eligible.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
    • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Clear written and verbal communication.
    • Flexibility and an openness to change.

    • Location: Chico, Texas.
    • Term: Rolling.
    • Compensation: $23.00 per hour.
