About the role#
This is a 10-week paid internship at Health Care Service Corporation. You will join our formal internship program, which provides hands-on experience by supporting business objectives and member-focused solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to analyze information and develop solutions that address organizational needs. Over the course of the program, you will gain independence and take ownership of specific project components under the guidance of a manager and mentor.
What you'll do#
- Own components of project work and deliverables.
- Conduct research and analyze data to develop recommendations for business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical and business initiatives.
- Support departmental projects that improve client and member experiences.
- Develop and deliver a final presentation to department leadership covering your project, results, and recommendations.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, Corporate Integrity, and Diversity Principles.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree, specifically a rising senior in computer science, information technology, or information systems. Other majors may be considered.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available.
- Available for the full 10-week program duration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with virtual collaboration tools.
- Experience in Java, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, MVC, CSS, Angular, React, Spring Boot, GitHub, or Data Analytics.
- Exposure to tools such as Hadoop, Pig, Talend, or Copilot.
- Strong communication skills and an analytical mindset.

- Modality: Hybrid (at least three days per week in the office).
