About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work on the development of embedded software for real-time control of tactical radio equipment. You will be part of a team that builds and tests software across the full development life cycle.
What you'll do#
- Apply computer science, engineering, and math principles to develop software applications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and evaluate hardware-to-software interfaces.
- Define operational performance requirements and system design.
- Write software test procedures, code, and documentation.
- Use modeling tools to collect operating data, run tests, and analyze results.
- Participate in peer reviews to find, track, and fix software defects.
- Work with languages including C++, C, C#, Java, Ruby, Python, and SQL on platforms like Windows, Linux, and various real-time operating systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor, Master, or PhD program at an accredited university.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, or Digital Arts and Sciences.
Location & details#
- Location: Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
- Status: Paid internship, full-time.
