About the role#
This is a 10-week paid internship program at Health Care Service Corporation. You will join cross-functional teams to work on business objectives and member-focused solutions. Throughout the program, you will gain experience with company processes and technologies while taking ownership of specific project components. You will work under the guidance of a mentor and manager to deliver results that inform business decisions.
What you'll do#
- Participate in a formal internship program including orientation, professional development workshops, and networking events.
- Conduct research and analyze data to develop recommendations for departmental initiatives.
- Collaborate with teams across business and technical areas.
- Manage project deliverables and prioritize tasks across multiple assignments.
- Present final project results and recommendations to department leadership.
- Follow company policies regarding confidentiality, HIPAA, and corporate integrity.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program as a rising senior.
- Major in business, data analytics, information technology, information systems, or computer science.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Ability to work for the full 10-week duration of the program.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Office 365 and virtual collaboration tools.
- Prior technical internship experience, leadership roles, or involvement in IT organizations are helpful.

- Locations: Chicago, Illinois or Richardson, Texas.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (minimum of three days per week in the office).
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $19.13 to $34.17 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
