About the role#
Hatch is hiring a Transit Business Analyst Intern to join our Infrastructure group. You will work from our Denver office to support projects globally. This role involves working with a diverse team of professionals on mining, energy, and infrastructure projects. We value in-person collaboration and operate as an in-office environment.
What you'll do#
- Develop and assist in preparing cost models, financial models, and business cases for projects.
- Evaluate information from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts.
- Deconstruct high-level information to identify fundamental drivers.
- Aggregate data to build a holistic understanding of project needs.
- Communicate with internal customers to analyze requirements and deliver reports or presentations.
- Collect and summarize data from workshops, surveys, and existing documentation.
- Prepare scenarios to assist analysts and consultants.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to analyze tradeoffs between objectives and business performance.
- Support senior engineers and designers with project tasks, including detailed design preparation and drawing support.
- Manage multiple initiatives at once and provide administrative support as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, data analytics, economics, or mathematics.
- Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
- Interest in learning to write Power BI reports.
- Leadership initiative and a commitment to personal growth.
- Interest in mining, metals, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
- Ability to submit a transcript with your application.
