About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring an intern for our outpatient clinic in Tampa. This is a full-time, paid independent contractor position. You will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person and telehealth appointments.
What you'll do#
- Perform psychological assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions for various mental health conditions.
- Deliver various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Teach patients and their families about mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Document all services rendered according to company policies.
What you'll need#
- A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida intern license or proof that you are in the process of obtaining one.
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Tampa, Florida.
- The position is hybrid, with the option to work 50% via telemedicine from the start.
- As an independent contractor, you set your own working hours within the clinic's operational availability.
