About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient mental health network in Fort Myers. This is a full-time position where you will provide care to adults, adolescents, and children aged five and older. You will work as an independent contractor with the flexibility to set your own hours. We offer a mix of in-person and telehealth options, with the possibility to work 50 percent remotely from the start.
What you'll do#
- Conduct psychological assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver various psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services in line with company policies.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.

- Compensation: $35 to $40 per billable hour.
