About the role#
Child and Family Focus offers clinical internships for students pursuing a Master's degree. You will gain experience in the mental health field by working within our Outpatient program. This role involves direct interaction with children and families to support their wellness and growth. We partner with your university to meet your specific practicum or internship credit requirements.
What you'll do#
- Provide clinical care in an outpatient setting.
- Use assessment tools to identify areas for intervention.
- Partner with program staff and family members to support individuals.
- Participate in team meetings and staff trainings.
- Engage in individual and group supervision sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's level program at an accredited university.
- A major in Psychology, Public Health, Sociology, Human Services, Family Therapy, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Comfort using virtual platforms like Zoom and Teams.
- Ability to complete a Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Check, Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Criminal Background Check.
Location & details#
- This internship is located in Hatboro, Pennsylvania.
- The role operates on a hybrid basis, combining in-office work with client meetings via telehealth.
- Terms available include Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
- This is an unpaid internship and is not a full-time position.
