About the role#
Child and Family Focus is seeking interns for our Outpatient Program for Summer and Fall 2026. This role provides clinical experience in the mental health field. You will work with children and families to support their growth and wellness. We partner with your university to provide credit hours for your internship or practicum requirements. This is an unpaid position.
What you'll do#
- Provide clinical care in an outpatient setting.
- Use assessment tools to identify areas for intervention.
- Partner with program staff and family members to support individuals.
- Provide 1:1 and group therapy.
- Participate in team meetings and staff trainings.
- Receive individual and group supervision along with mentorship from experienced professionals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's level program at an accredited university for practicum, internship, or field placement.
- Major in Psychology, Public Health, Human Resources, Human Services, Family Therapy, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Comfort using Zoom, Teams, and other virtual tools.
- Completion of Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Check, Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Criminal Background Check.
Location & details#
- This is a hybrid role based in Hatboro, Pennsylvania.
- You will work from the Hatboro office with the potential to meet with clients via telehealth.
- The schedule is flexible based on your availability and program hour requirements, including potential evening and weekend hours.
