About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinics. This position involves providing clinical care to patients aged five and older. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver mental health services in a setting that values individualized treatment.
What you'll do#
- Perform psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for various mental health conditions.
- Deliver multiple modalities of psychotherapy and counseling.
- Coordinate care with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services in compliance with company policies.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Bradenton, Florida.
- Work is both on-site and remote, with the option to work 50% via telemedicine from the start.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
- The schedule is flexible as you will operate as an independent contractor, with office hours Monday through Thursday and telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday.
